- to nurture and care for our parishioners of all ages;
- to compassionately serve the community;
- to support, strengthen and enlarge Ascension Episcopal School.
Our Mission as faithful followers of Jesus Christ is to...
- love the Lord and one another
- make disciples
- uphold the truth of Holy Scripture
Our Lord's Great Commandment (Mark 12:29-31) and his Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) represent our highest calling. The Bible guides us in pursuit of our apostolic mission.
Our Core Values are
- Holy Scripture: love for the living, authoritative Word of God
- Christian Formation: making disciples of Christ of all ages through Christian Education
- Mission and Outreach: proclaiming the love of Christ through prayer and a compassionate service to the larger community
- Worship: exalting Christ in worship and praise as set forth by The Book of Common Prayer
- Fellowship: welcoming others and nurturing one another in the love of Christ
Our Lord calls to each of us to work, pray, and give to make sure The Church of the Ascension and our School are Beacons of God’s Truth and Compassion where people are transformed by the power of the Gospel.
